Don't ask me how that happened (probably after one of my inumerous crashes this week-end trying to do massive tagging) but now I have:

in db: songs are flagged 'image inside'
in tag: no APIC tag since the images are 'outside'

so I have ever the image files (with the right name "artist - album.jpg") but it is no more linked to the songs in the db.

Is it possible to have a 'get image from a directory' based on a filename ?

Otherwise, I will have to relink 1200+ covers to the related songs, album by album

I think this may be what you are looking for:

right-click
tools
get coverart from internet
mode pull down
select "Offiline (use already downloaded cover art)"
