Rio500: Can't Force File Conversion
« on: December 01, 2002, 06:38:00 am »

I am a newbie to MJ, and just subscribed and downloaded MJ 9.0.84. I am having trouble setting up my Rio 500 mp3 player. I burn all of my cd's as wav files, but, I also want to be able to download those songs/files to my mp3 player, without changing their original wav format on my hard drive.

I know there is a "force file conversion" option once the files are "sent" to the device. However, I can't get to that point. When I right click on the track in the library and select "Send To...", "CD, DVD & Handhelds", then "Rio 500", I get a "Transfer Cancelled" message, "song.wav file type not supported by the device."

It was recommended that I re-post this so that maybe some Rio owners can chime in. Thanks.

packyb,

Thanks for the repost. This is a bug in MJ 9.0.84 which is fixed in the next build of MJ 9 which should be available tonight.

Thanks,

Steve
