Removing specific (wrong) statistics?
« on: November 28, 2002, 11:36:15 am »

Since I upgraded to MC9, I've noticed one rather annoying thing...namely the "Last Played". I like the feature, but since the rules for when it's updated (thanks Matt! I wanted the change badly...you're my hero!) has changed since MJ8, almost all my files which isn't played fully once or more are tagged with a date, example: '64 days, 2 hours ago'. Is there a way to clear this info? I made a smartlist that shows all files not played, so how can I take it from there? I checked 'Clean properties', but there's only the standard tags...:/

Btw, this one's really funny: 'Last played: 12019 days, 21 hours ago' :)

Thanks for a wonderful product!

Oh one more thing: I didn't want to clear the whole library ie re-import it...just those specific tags...:)

wow...that was probably the most weird solution I've seen since win3.11 :)

Can I ask why this isn't following the standard "clean properties" approach that's in MC9?

Thanks King! Your speed is unbelievable somtimes! :)

Clean is a set of tools to help you to get your ID3v2\Id3v1 tags correct.

It is not a tag and is not saved to the media file

it tells you "File Properties" not all tags are ID3 Tags, and since it is not saved to the "File" it is not included.

i think the way J river has it now it is fine with me.

It works fine I agree as long as you know it's there...but one could wish there was an easier way to find it for people who doesn't know...personally I thought it was a "read only" field, not one you could actually manipulate... my instinct was to look for it within file properties or similar...:)
