Is there a way to get MC9 to remove duplicate copies of songs on my hard drive?

What I have in mind is an automatic scan of the music folder on my hard drive, not individually selecting songs and deleting them.

yes, there is a plug-in that will do this.

Look in the plug-ins section.

Well Long story But It is located In Plug-Ins

First Look At "SetUp" And For The First Time Using It I Would Select The 100% match.

Then Press "Go"

The program will look for Matches, and place them in the list #2.

Pressing Delete, Will send them to a Play List

if you go to the play list slect the files then Hit "Shift" And "Delete" keys at the same time.

MC \ MJ will ask you if you want to delete the files

Your choice after that.

You need to play around with it a bit.

I should have been clearer in my question ...

I downloaded it, and it seemed to be installing itself ...

but when I click on "tools/plugin manager" I don't see it anywhere

yea, thats a bug in MC (Maybe), since MC started doing this around 9.0.72 (i think it was)

I was hoping they would fix it.

I think it is due to the way MC is or is not registering plugins now.

download my plugin Chart Finder, I kind of added a line to fooled the MC program to look for a plugin and register it.

Yeah, I downloaded your Chartfinder, and now MC sees both plug-ins.

Do you happen to know if DupFinder can be configured to actually delete the duplicate song files from my hard drive?

well he did not want to add that and have you tell him his program deleted the files.
