Feature Request: Controls for full screen, offscre
« on: October 30, 2002, 06:43:42 am »

Since the time that I registered version 9 of MJ I've enjoyed the extra features.  It's nice to display images, too, as well as the visualization studio, which works well with my tv out since it will display itself on my tv (or whatever other device with a rca/s-video hookup).  However, maybe I've missed something but I can show a slideshow on the screen but to switch between the slideshow and visualizations requires me to move my mouse over the screen thereby interrupting the flow of everything with the mouse cursor and popping up the menu bars on the screen.  I'm debating using ver. 9 eventually in a performance setting (after the program becomes totally stable).  I was wondering if there could be (or is) a way to manipulate the display solely without disrupting what is on the screen.

I've set the preferences to show the full screen in the second monitor (which is my tv-out).

I know it's the program is still in development, just my two cents...

Cool...I didn't know you could do this.  Where in the prefs do you set it up to show on the second screen?  I want to watch videos on my TV but the fall screen always seemed to jump straight back to the monitor.  The only way  thought I could do it was to reverse my displays but then I obviously have to reverse back again afterwards.

Right click on the vis and click configure display, the menu gives me a choice which monitor to choose.  I think I've done it with videos, too, seeing as they show up in the same window.

Basically what I'm doing is shunting the full screen features to a second monitor output while MJ sits in all it's glory on my computer monitor.  I run sound and do things a lot for my college.  I want to use the program maybe one night for school, but I hate drawing attention away from what I'm doing (i.e. causing feedback in a microphone, or in MJ, popping up windows).  This is why I want to have a remote of sorts to get around this...
