CD Database
« on: October 20, 2002, 01:34:41 pm »

Bonjour,

I just upgrade to version 9 from version 8 and I remark that there is no more CD database on this version. Is there a way to find it ?.  :(

By the way, what about CDDB ?  ?

Regards,

The CD, DVD database is also very important to me.  It provided a catalog of my entire CD collection, regardless if the cd had been ripped and stored to my hard drive or not.  I maintained a current html file of my collection and I saw this as a huge advantage over the capabilities of MM at the time I converted.  I hope that if it is reimplemented that there is a way to extract that information from the v8 library backup.  I spent days inserting all of my cd's to catalog them.

The CD database is still there, you just have to create a view scheme to see it.

Use the search modifier "~d=c" to see ONLY what's in the CD database.

CDDB was replaced by YADB (J River's own database based on FreeDB)
