Since you plan to enhance MJ (oh, sorry again, I mean MC) in video-capabilities, it would be great to have it working with DVB-cards.

Especially the cards with hard-ware-decoders should be supported. I know there are some open-source projects out there for DVB-receiving, perhaps you could integrate one??
