Pretty much all unknown artists, but seems like there are some interesting sounds here. You can preview entire albums via streaming and if you decide to buy you can download the actual uncompressed full quality .wav files. Also, you can choose how much you want to pay for an album and 50% goes to the artist.

It's a great idea but they really don't have much. No blues, no jazz. However, such a noble effort and definitely going down the right path.
Worth a second look, maybe.

GREAT idea.

Now ,not that much stuff.

I got a lot of albums on 128kps on MP3.com for $4.
If i was able to get a large part of them for a few bucks more on lossless ,i would be really happy

Yeah, I get the impression the site hasn't been up for very long, though. I don't think there is even a secure ordering mechanism in place yet.

It seems the major hurdle to the concept (besides probably never having any mainstream artists) might be getting artists to agree to the terms of the "contract".

It's been up for a while now actually.  They've also been broadcasting on Shoutcast for some time as well.

Some genres have quite a bit more music than others, but from what I have heard on their station and from their website, the music they do have is very high quality (both in sound quality, and quality of the musicians).

There are a number of bands there that are about to sell an album or two.... to me. :)
