When I playback Audio CD's, the first song starts automatically, but at the end of the song it just stops and does not continue to the next song. I am not using digital playback as my CD drives do not seem to support that (I get fragmented, jumpy sound). This is very annoying as I have hooked the Media Jukebox up to my stereo and would like to use the PC as CD playing device. I don't want to have to get up from the sofa for every song !

Place all files you wish to play in playing now.

You can adjust MJ to be mor skip resistant (Under: Tools, Options, Playback)

This sometimes will be effected by Low CPU speed, Memory, If the track is on the hard drive is it fragmented, and what is currently running.

a 400mhz computer or slower you will see this on more than you would a 2.8ghz computer.

Thanks for the reply. When the CD get's started, all files are automatically placed in Playing Now, but the playback still stops after each song and does not continue to the next song. ?

Go To Tools, Options, General There is some play back options There depending on how your playing the file.

How are you trying to play the files.

what steps are you doing, so i can test it on my system.

and what version are you using?

This problem has been reported a few times when MJ is using analog playback. Set back to digital playback. If you're running NT/W2k/XP then change Settings>Options>Playback>Output to DirectSound and play with the Settings slider. Make sure you have latest DirectX.

I've tried all your recommendations, played with all the settings in the options menu, downloaded the latest version of Direct X, but my problem is still here.

I am running Media Jukebox PLUS 8.0.388. I insert the CD, then go to the CD, DVD ... menu, select the appropriate drive, then right click with the mouse and select play. The first song plays but then stops at the end and does not continue to the next one. I've tried selecting digital playback, that gives me fragmented playback. ?

I'm having the same problem.  It worked fine before I upgraded to 8.0.393

I've tried a number of different things - highlighting all, checking, un-checking continous play -searched through settings-options-etc.....
yes it is annoying... :-/

D'load/install (or reinstall) B393. See if that helps. The way this machine is set up is Digital Playback, DirectSound w/ slider all the way to More Responsive.

Digital Playback seemed to do the trick for me.
So far I haven't had any fragmented playback
- I guess that was the one option I hadn't hit so far...
