AlbumView 2.0.3.0 Released
« on: November 13, 2002, 07:35:00 am »

It can be found here:

http://www.musicex.com/cgi-bin/downloads/plugins.pl?type=10&start=0&end=10&page=1

Here's the changelist:

1)  Fixed issue where menu hooking was being over zeleous and hooking the main MJ window
2)  Fixed issue where selecting the icon options tab was setting the toolbar state
3)  Can now optionally preserve the AV specific fields (rank, new date, favourite) when creating a new database.   Also can optionally set any album not preserved as new.
4)  Added Overview screen like searching to Album Details screen.   It's activated via the dropdown combo.
5)  Added option to perform search only when pressing the enter key ... not on every keypress.   This is now the default but can be changed back in Options/Search.

Now I'm going to look at MJ v9 to see how the API is different from v8.

Rhino,

do you already know if AV2 is still usefull and off some added value within MC9 and if you're gonna put effort in the release for this version (don't even know if it's possible)?

just read the information from Jim H about the changes and splitting into 2 product.

At this time i use mj8 with a version 7 license and now i have to decide if i will stick to version 8 or go for mc9 and buy that license.

off great importance for me is if AV2 still works, use it every day  ;D

I will probably be moving AV to MJ9 as I do not like the way it handles albums ... but I am biased remember :D

Hi Rhino.

As MJ has now announced V9 that must be upgraded before Dec. 1 to get it for free (if you have V8), have you any plan, when you will be ready with AV for V9??

Thanks

I will get it working asap ... but I have an issue outstanding with J River that they haven't replied to and as it stands you cannot create an AV DB within MJ9 :(

Hey Rhino,
now that AV works with upgrading the db and remembering the old settings, any chance of having an option for any new albums detected to automatically be added to the 'new' section and for them to stay there for X weeks?

Any news on compatibility with v9 yet Rhino?

I thought I saw a mention in the latest MJ release about the SDK?

Hey Rhino,
Any news on a v9 compatible build yet?
You sent me that e-mail asking me about testing one then never replied with one.
