what will microsoft stopping Active X

 ;D  cause in the form of trouble for mc 9?  or dont it use it.?  or will ms really stop active x from working ?

Are you talking about the potential for the removal of the <object/> feature in Internet Explorer (due to a patent violation claim)?

not sure if that is what the reason is or not just heard active x wont work in th next release of ie and thought it would mess up mc 9 ?

If that comes to pass, J River will have to take the same measures that the rest of the industry will take.  Microsoft is working with the W3C to find the best means to give developers a reasonable transition to whatever replaces the <object> feature.

I'm sure J River will do just fine.  The <object> tag isn't one of the most critical parts of the application. In fact, the only place I know it is used is when embedding visualizations into trackinfo templates.
