I've posted this question at the iPodLounge in the MC9 forum, but nobody knows the answer.

When using MP3 VBR, you have five Quality choices: Low, Normal/Low, Normal, Normal/High and High (and Custom, but that's different). You have three additional Advanced choices: Normal, High Quality and High Speed. This gives 15 combinations. What is sent to the LAME encoder in the various combinations?


I ask this because I've been reading up on the LAME command-line options (available here) and I'm starting to use Custom settings. I'd like to compare my parameters with what you are sending to LAME.
