duplicate tracks when burning
« on: October 15, 2003, 09:28:01 am »

I'm trying to send a playlist to my CD-RW to burn an Audio CD.

The playlist has 11 tracks, but when I go to Tools|Burn CD.. each track appears twice.  When I attempt to delete a duplicate, the other track of the same title is deleted as well.

When I burn a data CD, everything works fine.

I'm using 9.1.249 under Windows XP.

Any ideas?  TIA,

Kit

You're probably selecting the tracks, then dragging (or using "send to..") to put them on the burner. Then you click the "burn CD" icon, right? Each of these operations (the dragging or "send to" and the clicking of the burn icon) adds the selected items to the burn queue, hence you get two copies of each.
Instead, just select the tracks and click the "burn CD" icon.
The reason if doesn't happen with data CD's, is that duplicate files aren't allowed on a data CD, but they are on an audio CD.
