Volume Levelling
« on: November 14, 2003, 08:00:15 am »

Hello,
I am not sure if MC has this or not... Can't seem to find it..

Does MC have volume levelling? (That's wear it will play each track back at the same level. That way 1 track isn't louder than the others)

Thanks

Yup, you can do this using replay gain.

Right click on the files u want to use, and under library tools, click on analyse audio.

To play back using replay gain, you will need to enable the replay gain under the dsp setting.

If I am not wrong, you can also normalize (volume levelling) files.

The difference between replay gain is that replay gain write the data needed to volume level the files in the tags instead of modifying the files itself. Thus allowing you to disable it if needed.
