CD audio problems
« on: November 10, 2003, 07:33:36 am »

Using MC9, when I try to play an audio CD in my (52x) CD drive, I get slightly garbled audio.  When I try to play the same CD in my CD/DVD drive, MC9 won't even recognize it.

I have a pretty beefy system, and don't have many programs running at the same time as MC9 in this instance.

Both MusicMatch and WMP9 have no problems playing the CD in either drive.

Any ideas what's going on or how I can troubleshoot this?

What kind of CD drives do you have? Also, please post your system info (from MC's help menu) here.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, I don't know the make or brand of my CD drive or CD/DVD drive.  The first I bought about 6 months ago, and it's a 52x speed CDRW'er.  No problems with it before trying to use it with MC9.  The second drive is a CD/DVD combo drive that came with my Dell system that I also bought about 6 months ago.

I've included info pasted from the MC9 info screen:
