After installing MC, all media files in Explorer have the same icon. It's a little bit annoying audio, video and images files look the same...

I've tried to change the icons of some extensions, but when Imake a change it applies to all file types, so they look again the same. ::)

Yes I'd quite like a solution to that.  Also all files are classed as Media Center files so it isn't easy to sort them by type to get all images, music etc grouped together.

Hmmm, do I smell a 'MediaCenter Audio File', 'MediaCenter Video File', and 'MediaCenter Image File' filetypes each with a slightly modified MC icon blowin in the breeze?

Lisa's idea would be nice!

Though to be honest, I've actually disassociated MC9 from most file types, since I usually find & play media from within MC9 itself.
