Using one of the latest versions of MC (9.1.308), the problem of forwarding within a song has improved but some problems still exist.  
Well, after a bit more research I've uncovered a pattern with the problem that I've been experiencing.  When playing atypical bitrate WMA DRM songs that were downloaded from MusicMatch, MC will not forward/scroll through the song but will instead jump to the next song.  Standard bitrates work fine.

Typical bit rates that work fine include: 128, 160 (thanks for fixing the previous bug because most of the files I downloaded are 160 and they all work fine now).

Atypical bit rates that do NOT work include: 320, 170, 173, 175, 198, 189, 180, etc.  These play fine but if you try to advance the song to a later portion by sliding the scroll bar, it skips to the next song.
