Hello!
« on: December 04, 2003, 08:19:44 am »

I have just signed up to the forum to cast my vote as a UK user.  It makes a change from just lurking!

As this is my first post I would like to thank all at JRiver for such an excellant program which I consider to be of terrific value for money.  Also all those on the board that give their time to support it.

I have been a registered user since v7 and updated to v9 when it came out but have made very limited use of the program until recently.

I have in the last month or so sucessfully ripped about 400 CD's to APE format.  Having just bought a Creative Zen Xtra 60Gb jukebox I used the program to convert all 6000+ tracks to MP3 (192 CBR) and transfer them to it.  All this went pretty smoothly thanks to the great program and the advice obtained by lurking here!

I certainly still have a lot to learn but I am sure that more lurking here will help greatly.

I have not yet tried the latest 315 build but the changes sound very usefull.

Thanks again, everyone.

Why?  Does JRiver charge UK users a higher price?
Nottingham? Are you related to that Sheriff guy that gave Robin & Big John such a difficult time of things?
 ;D :P ;)

Hello & Welcome DJMUK  ;)

Thanks for the welcome all.

LisaRCT: No, JRiver does not charge us any more but don't give them ideas, please.  On the other hand  the credit card companies make a nice profit with their outrageous $:£ conversion rates!

By the way John's name was was 'Little' not 'Big', probably because he was from this (UK) side of the pond!!!

Actually MC is getting cheaper by the day for UK [and most other countries] users, because of the dollar losing so much value.

One of the downsides of living in Europe is that most things are more expensive than in the US.  At least with software we pay the same price as all you rich American folks ;)

Now for the really important question, do you support Notts or Forest (I can't believe I typed that word)? Although I'm not from Nottingham I've been a Notts fan for the last 14 years and am extremely relieved that the club has just been taken over thus avoiding being kicked out of the league next week. In fact as a member of the supporter's trust I am now one of the owners of the club :D
