Windows Media DRM still non functional
« on: December 06, 2003, 08:52:15 am »

I pointed out back in June when the HiDef WMP9 version of T2 was released that it did not work with MC9 even though MC9 is supposed to be DRM enabled.  Just tried it last night and still not fixed or changed.

Playing in WMP9, both the DRM'ed files or the DRM free demo clip from the MS site both play fine

Playing the T2 demo clip (in MC9) without DRM... Runs fine and stutter free.

Playing the T2 DRM version and its not even frames per second more like seconds per frame.  Something is happening to make it incredibly inefficient to play WMP9 DRM.

I know this is a taxing piece of media but as its the only piece of HiDef content you can buy for the PC (lets rule out hacked DVHS decks) it would be nice to have the DRM working efficiently enough to enable playback.
