Dolby Audio for DVD playback?
« on: December 08, 2003, 10:30:46 am »

Hello All,
I searched but could not find any mention of changing audio properties for playing dvds with MC9. I hope I am doing it right this way - you start a dvd play, then right click, go to audio properties and you in a window you have an option of analogue and digital(SPDIF) settings. It defaults to analogue 2 speakers and anytime I change it to SPDIF and close the window it goes back to default (analogue).
I am usen WINDVD 5 and all my settings for Audigy audio card and WINDVD is SPDIF. I just wanted to use MC9 to listen to some music dvds too, but seem unable to switch to digital. Any help?
Thanks.

So, I presume, MC9 is really not designed to be a dvd player. Nobody even wants to answer this question.

Well, I'm no expert on this, never even tried it, but while playing around with MC the other day I noticed in the Tools|options|playback area a new setting for DVD playback. Click on that and try to setup DVD for S\PDIF...good luck.
