folders when burning cd
« on: December 06, 2002, 06:25:01 am »

I just got a car stereo which plays mp3s.  Id like to burn mp3s from MJ and create folders, so I dont have to go through 100plus songs in the car.

Is this possible?

I noticed that there are folders according to the artist, but this doenst make folders on the burnt cd...

While your waiting for an answer, consider this.....

You could do exactly the same thing with playlists that group songs together by artist, genre.....whatever. More flexible than directories (IMO). Will the car stereo read m3u's? Can it read packet written disks (CD-RW's formatted with DirectCD, InCD, etc.)?

I read it, I am not sure I understand the question. i was hoping someone would explain it to me.

I have two MP3 Players one for my wifes car and one for mine. as of the last burn to mp3's MJ put the files into dirs.

King...

He wants directories placed on the CD, with the naming convention matching the artist (I assume). If it does that for you then he (reian) must not have something set up right.

I don't bother with directories....I just place them all in the root of the CD (DirectCD formatted for my SlimX) and use m3u playlists to manipulate.
