MP3 Encoding gives Win32 Error
« on: December 21, 2003, 03:17:05 pm »

Hi
I have been using MJ7 for ripping CDs using the LAME MP3 Encoder successfully for over a year.  Had to upgrade to Version 8 beacuse of the move from CDDB to thingamebob (YAK something?).

So now I can encode to windows media files no problem.  But when I down-loaded the MP3 encoder plug-in and tried using that (VBR or non-VBR), I get an error dialog coming up for WIN32 saying "You do not have enough memory to run this program......." Media Jukebox then allows me to click the cancel button on the CD Rip dialog box but just sits there saying "Cancelling".  And nothing will kill MJ

I am running on Win98SE, 2GHz 756Mb Ram, and have tried closing down all other apps until my system resources read 94% ....blah blah blah. Still no joy!!

Copying part is fine, just the encoding to MP3.

Any ideas are gratefully received.

Cheers

thingamebob (YAK something?) = "YADB"

I Think It Stands For "Yet Another Data Base"
