Media Library View Missing
« on: December 18, 2003, 01:18:36 pm »

Hi, I am a newbie MC9 user.  This may be a stupid question but under Media Library, there used to be an Audio drop down menu, I think its called a view scheme?  Anyway, the Audio view scheme is gone and it only has images, video and advanced.  Did I do something wrong?  How do I get back my view scheme?
Thanks

Thanks King!
One other thing is now that I have the Audio View back, how do I add the drop down directories under audio?  For example, Artist/Album, File Type, Disk Location?
Im not sure how this dissapeared but right now under audio, there is no other sub category.
Thanks for your help

The View Schemes in MC are extremely customizable and there are many ways to add whatever view of the audio files you would like.  Take a look at the great help file included with MC for instructions on how to setup and customize the View Schemes ...

You must have somehow deleted the default Audio view scheme.  If you just want to get it back to its basic default, I would probably say uninstall/reinstall MC.  However, I strongly recommend that you take a look at the help file and figure out how to customize them.  Thats what makes MC great (among other things)!

Also, if you are feeling brave, the new version 10 betas have a better View Scheme creation method, so you might want to check that out.

So ... what I am saying (in as nice a way as possible) is ... RTFM.

Good luck!

Maybe this might help.

I had a similar problem but whatever I did during customization caused MC to freeze when I selected a media mode. I finally fixed it by highlighting "Media Library", right-click,  "Reset All View Schemes To Default".

I had to redo my customization over, but at least MC works now.

I did try to reinstall a few times but the settings must not overwrite. That makes sense if your previous settings were good, but not in my case.
