Playng Library 1 & CDwritng from Lib 2 simultaneously?
« on: December 25, 2003, 05:20:48 pm »

Well, give it a try . . . worst you could do is waste a blank CD-R, maybe freeze-up your system and need a reboot, right?

back up both libraries, use a cd-rw, try it, then tell us if it works. My gut-feeling is it won't work, but hey, you never know till you try eh?

Presumably, you're creating the burn list, then loading the other library. When you do that, doesn't it clear the burn Q ? If not, hit that "Burn" button and see what happens, then let us all in on it :)

I got a new coaster! ;D Actually, once the writing had started and the writer pane was minimised, I was able to switch libraries and move around therein (albeit everything went into slooooowmotion), it crashed when I double-clicked on a song(it took about 15 seconds). I restarted MC OK but had to restart the pooter to unfreeze the CDR. No permanent damage done. :)

I think I'll try it again with the new computer this weekend. I'm runing 500 megs of SD ram now, The new pooter will have 1gig of DDR ram and might have enuff headroom to do both. ;D

I'd start playing music in Zone2, then switch zones (and libraries?) and start the burn . . . .  perhaps??
