In the Media library, under albums, there are complete listings, and incomplete listings.

What do these mean?

Are you using v9?...I don't see them in v8.

The only MJ entry is (unassigned).

All other entries are generated by the Album tag.

Hi Don,

As far as I have experienced, the complete and incomplete listing attempt to classify your albums according to the completion of their track listing.
It helps finding missing tracks in your collection.

let's exercise on an example:
Here is the track list for a complete album (Pink Floyd - Meddle)

1 - One of These Days
2 - A Pillow of Winds
3 - Fearless
4 - San Tropez
5 - Seamus
6 - Echoes

If you import all these tracks and the track fields (or track tag) are set with the track number, this album will be listed under 'Single Artist (complete albums)'

Now suppose that tracks 3 and 6 are missing or you did not import them, then the album will be listed under 'Single Artist (incomplete albums)'

Now if you have all of the tracks but they are incorrectly numbered (bad track field) like say :
0 - One of These Days
2 - A Pillow of Winds
4 - Fearless
5 - San Tropez
6 - Seamus
6 - Echoes
Then the album will be listed as an incomplete album although you actually have all the tracks. Simply because the software detected some inconsistency in the track listing sequence (holes between 0-2 and 2-4, duplicate track number 6)

Now let's suppose only track 6 is missing. You end up with a logically ordered track list (1 to 5). MC will then list this album as complete although it is obvioulsy not, as track 6 (a 22 minutes one) is missing !
Note that if you have only one track in your album, it will be listed as complete if its track # is 1 and listed as incomplete if its track # is different from 1.

In short :
complete albums : logical sequence of track # starting at 1.
uncomplete albums : all the other cases, missing track #, duplicates ord sequence starting at someting different than 1.

Well, this is not perfect but it helps organizing your music anyway !
