Audio analysis: "Failed to update..." error?
« on: February 06, 2004, 10:36:52 am »

Some files (mp3s) just won't be updated with the BPM tags. Do you know why?

I've had this happen. When I check it, sometimes the song is too short or has no detectable beat, so I guess the Audio Analysis cannot come up with a good estimated. It's only happened to me on 2 songs.

Ok, I think I got more info on what can be potentially a bug.

I don't get this as rarely as you, basically an entire Queen album has this problem.

The fact is that the BPM and peak info *IS* generated and writen just fine,  but MC 10.62 *keeps* saying that it "Failed to update the following files".

Very annoying, because you have to press "OK" for hundreds of files if you want it to continue. Can anyone  replicate it? Does anyone want me to send a sample of an mp3 with this problem?

Still getting the same error. C'mon, guys, it's getting better with newer versions, that means you are about to fix it...
