Downloading to Portable device
« on: January 05, 2004, 09:33:15 pm »

I have a Creative Nomad MuVo. When I download a playlist it takes MJ 8.04 about 40 minutes. I had this problem when I first purchased MJ 2 years ago but it was resolved. It has returned. Everything I try does not help. I am running WinXP HE P4 1.7 256mb. Any suggestions?

If you manually copy the files to your MuVo from Windows Explorer is the speed the same or different? If the same, the problem is not MJ, but a hardware issue.

The speed is what you would expect for a USB 1.1 portable drive. Approx 5-7 min for 128MB. When I load a playlist from Windows Media Player is takes only  7-8 minutes.

Would you consider testing this with MC 10 and if it is still a problem I can work towards a solution?

It's worth a try. How do I go about doing this?

Please read all warnings and cautions before doing this.
