MC, Rio Karma & Ogg Vorbis
« on: February 02, 2004, 08:00:50 pm »

Greetings.  I have ripped by cd collection in ape format using MC 10.0.xx and when I try to transfer the files to my Karma in ogg format I get "transfer failed."  If I chose to encode in mp3 or wma, the transfer works fine, as does transfering ogg files using the rio software.

Any thoughts on what might be going wrong?  Thanks in advance.

Does the failure occur during the conversion or after the conversion is done and during the transfer? If the latter, what happens if you try to do the same thing using Windows Media Player?

Steve, I don't think WMP supports oggs, and much less transfer them to external devices.

The failure occurs after the conversion is done and during the transfer.   WMP does not appear to support ogg, but I was able to successfully transfer to the Karma using WMA.

Thanks for your assistance.
