Hi Steve,
that's good news....
here are a few more things I'd like to see (and hopefully enough other that you're going to implement them ;-) ):
- when synchronising, put everything in one folder (e.g. \My Music) and leave everything else alone. (currently MC seems to delete any files it doesn't know off, including *.doc in my \data folder)
- when synching playlists, create playlists.m3u (or whatever the user configured) in (e.g.) \Playlists and still put the music files in \My Music
- keep the option to generate \...\[AlbumArtist(Auto)]\Album folders.
- add an option to start an external program once the synching is finished
(and/or)
- include the stuff that ID3Browse currently does for me ;-)
http://shanebrinkmandavis.com/homepage/ID3Browse/v2.0/this great utility allows me to create a complete tree of playlists that mimics a database (or MC's tree based media views)
just ideas (and hopes)
Ingo
p.s.: I'm using an Archos JBMM, drive letter based, no database, playlist support (even mixed audio/jpg lists)
p.p.s.: one thing that would be really great as well, but probably only for archos jbmm users: this gadget can display cover art included in mp3s as a background, but it's resizing capabilities are verry limited (only 1/4,1/3,1/2, 1x, 2x, 3x,4x). so resizing coverart during sync to the 'best fit' size would be great (just dreaming ;-) )
