CDRW problem...
« on: January 17, 2004, 02:55:46 pm »

System info below.

QUESTION IS:  MC can write to CDRW, correct?  MC keeps telling me that the media is not writable though I can write files to them in explorer.

Tx

If you can write to them via Explorer, then that would indicate that XP's DirectCD like packet write software is interfering with MC on RW's.

To disable, see...

Thanks.

Unfortunately it didn't work.  But I did find a fix.  My computer systematically ate seven 4x CDRW (two different brands) BUT...
I stuck a 12x CDRW in there and I've been a burning fool ever since.

I have no idea why this worked nor do I no why MC will only burn the 12x media at 10X in a 24x (RW) drive.

Whatever.  I'll take it.

See the new quirk at "Write speed stuck".
