Lifetime

Being at home sick leaves plenty of time for musical enjoyment; hence, it's time for another Pocket music review.

Today, we slow it down with a bit of smoothness in the form of Maxwell's "Lifetime" [R&B - Maxwell - "Now"].  This piece is a far cry from the typical "rhythm and sex" inherent in today's R&B.  The lyrics of this piece are inspirational, and the way Maxwell plays his voice, they become nothing shy of beautiful, soulful, and colorful.   Underlying these lyrics is a well arranged piece, comprised of a sparse, staccatic percussive line and a fluent harmony.     In all, this most cursive work is a timeless joy to observe; and it will be near the top of my playlist for a lifetime.

From time to time, we all find ourselves listening to primarily one or a few musical genres, but doing so limits our potential enjoyment of all musics.  One outlet for diversity exists on independent Web Radio stations.  As a valuable asset, it is obvious that it is only a matter of time before JRiver revamps the Web Media section of MediaCenter!

Thank you Pocket for that wonderful and informative tidbit.
And yes, I am sure it is only a matter of time, as you say.   ;)

Thank you.
You know, these seem to be well received.  I may continue even after our Web Media section is updated!
