Hi luapmada,
I have a lot of mpc files in my MJ8 (now MC9) library and they all play very well.
All those files were encoded at home, I have never downloaded a single mpc file.
As Matt suggested you might try and play with another player. The only option I know
under windows is winamp. But then the mpc plugins for winamp and mediajukebox share
the exact same decoding software. You probably dnld a corrupted mpc file !
What you can do is to rip+encode some mpc file locally using either the internal MJ mpc encoder
or some other encoder. try and play it using MJ. I bet it'll play.
regarding mpc files and MediaEditor, it works well for me. But if you try and edit the same mpc files
it's quite logical you can't open them with MediaEditor as the mpc decoding plugin is just the same
as in MJ .
You can also check this useful mpc link ->
http://www.saunalahti.fi/cse/mpc/index.htmlYou'll find a utility called MPCscan, it's an mpc integrity scanner.
You will also find the latest mpc encoder plus useful mpc links.
Hope this will help you enjoy your mpc files with MJ !
