webmedia freeze

I've made a playlist of my webmedia, but changing from a ram file type to a wma on this list results in mc freeze

mc 279 on xp

Webmedia, I find, needs better integration in mc. I'm missing right click possibilities, the nice design of mc, better / more intuitive search....
