Hi. I've installed MJ v8; when I tried to rip a CD with MP3 encoding, MJ asked me if I wanted to download the encoder.
I answered YES, started to download the MJ package and then automatically said "Failed to connect to a server", when it was trying to connect.  ?
I use a win2000 professional, in English; we have a Microsoft ISA Server (firewall) with a firewall client.

Is there any problem with this or is there anyone who can help me?

make sure you have the latest version of MJ8

Check your firewall access - I get the same message from ZoneAlarm if I haven't set up MJ;s access correctly.

The fact is that I have version 8.0.388 and still have the same problem.

What settings do I need to change and where are the MJ's firewall settings?

Old version and some options did not work in 8.0.388 and they fixed them in the latest version.

Hi,in the mean time you can use this workaround.Go to http://www.musicex.com/cgi-bin/downloads/plugins.pl ,select encoder plug-ins and right click on 'Download for v.8 & v.9' under the mp3 encoder and save as on your local drive.No you have saved a enc_mp3.mjp file.Open this file with notepad and copy the URL that's in this file and paste it in your browser  http://www.musicex.com/mediajukebox/mj_data/plugins/enc_mp3.zip now you can save the plugin without problems
