Why is there no horizontal scrollbar above the Action Window?  If you're drilling down to a folder in My Computer, you can end up having to continuously expand the left pane, and have to rearrange every thing again when you're finished...  I'd love it if I *never* had to change the width of main content pane...

Hm!    Yes, I am talking about the tree view - I'm not at home, so I can't check if I have it with Blue Steel, but I use PixOS, which doesn't have it - I'll check it out later...

I'd be interested to know if anyone thinks that it would be useful - I often move back and forth between my MC libraries and my hard disks within MC, and I keep having to compress my content pane, which I never want to do - you just end up with a whole lot of empty space on the left and not enough on the right...

but i see no need for one unless it is in the action window when you get to long fields in info. i think that is mostly since i always use a large screen size (maxed out).

Never really needed it, I do not use or like the tree..... However it wouldn't bother me.
I just asked the Question because I didn't see it...

The horizontal scroll bar was removed in a version 9 release by popular vote.  Few people used it and most found that it detracted from the look.  It was constantly appearing and disappearing depending on which part of the tree was expanded. Given that you can expand the vertical splitter it should not be too much of an issue.

If you are using my computer view to browse deep into directories I would have thought that it's easier to move the splitter than fiddle around with the horizontal scroll bar.
