Where's "Display files in sub folders" gone?
« on: February 23, 2004, 05:26:53 am »

What happened to the option to "Display files in sub folders"?  It used to be under Tools | Options | Device Settings.

Now that it's not there when I insert a mp3 CD with a folder structure, I now have to click on individual folders to see their contents.  It's a real pain. What I want is to be able to see all files on the CD when I click on Drives & Devices.

It came back in the most recent builds. When you click on Drives & Devices, there is a menu in the bottom of the window offering single folder or recursive views.

The recursive view lets you see all files in all folders on a given drive or device.

I'm using build 76 at the moment and I don't seem to have that option. If I click on My Computer the option is there.

However when I click on drives and devices the menu at the bottom offering recursive or single folder view options disappears.   ?

Browse the MP3 CD under My Computer, not directly under Drives & Devices. Then use the recursive view.

I personally find the duplication a bit odd, but what the heck.

I tried that, gpvillamil.  Only local drives show up under my computer - not the CD drives.

I'm baffled - the recursive view of mp3 CD's worked a couple of builds ago.

I'm sorry to keep going on about this but........

Am I being stupid or is it not possible to see files recursively in the folders of an mp3 CD in MC later builds?

It used to be an option in the main options screen, but now the option isn't there, and when I insert a data CD I've got to click the individual folders to see what's in them. :(

I'm using .079 here and you're right, recursive view of the optical drives is not possible.

Could this be fixed?
Would you like it duped in the bug thread?
