Replay Gain Questions
« on: March 04, 2004, 10:31:24 am »

I have some general questions regarding music "analyzing" and Replay Gain. I load MP3 files into my library. I analyze the music for optimum playback volume. Does MC alter the "real" MP3 on my computer? If I play the file on another player will the information conflict with that player? Will the other player play at the same level or ignore the MC information? The only way to get MC to play the analyzed file to enable that feature in the playback options? I intend to download this music to an iPod. How does the iPod play at the same level? Will just downloading an "analyzed" file do the trick?

Thanks,

Jack

as far as i know its just like any other tag. therefore it wont cause any problems on any other player/handheld. downside is it wont be volume levelled either - unless the other player has volume levelling functionality and you map the fields correctly

someone correct me if im wrong.
