Crossfaded recordings???

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to use the  crossfade   feature to record CD's???

Not sure what you mean...as in gapless ripping? It can be done if you rip/encode to some format (say a lossless, such as wav or ape), then burn them back to a CD, keeping in mind that...

In MJ it is a playback only feature. With MC it can be done both on playback and burns.

The main issue for me is to be able to store the tunes I like (no problem doing this) and then create and edit a compilation that would allow one song to crossfade or seque into the other w/o any breaks or silence.  However, I would still need to be able to have tracks marked in able to skip if needed.

Any ideas?  Thanks man!

Media Center, then, is your ticket for applying DSP effects (ie cross fade) to a compilation CD. Has a ton of other features that you'll groove on, also.
