DTS Support for DVD Playback
« on: October 27, 2004, 12:00:05 pm »

Does MC10 support DTS playback for DVD's? Win DVD 5 plays DTS discs no problem but in MC all I can get is Dolby Digital 5.1.

Perhaps a plug in or something?

Yes, but it's filter dependent.

Try uninstalling old DVD players and reinstalling WinDVD to ensure that the newest filters are being used by MC.

Actually I'm just off a fresh format of the system. Other than codecs, MC and WinDVD are the only things on the system so far.

Maybe play around with the filter settings for DVD when playing in MC. (right-click on the DVD display)

Can you give me more specific details on where I can find these options. I right clicked the display while playing a DVD and got the standard options which deal mostly with the video size. I couldn't find any audio options.

The volume from DVDs is also quite low. WinDVD's volume is fine, just when I play DVD's in MC I have to double the volume on the receiver.
