Supported portable players?

I was wondering if there is a full list of portable devices currently supported and planned for support. I just purchased a new Rio Chiba, and it is not supported. I have three other devices (PDAS and MP3) that are not supported, and this really detracts from my use of Media Center.

The Rio Chiba should work with MC 10. You must enable WMDM support to access it. To do this, go to Tools->Options->Devices and select the checkbox for 'Enable WMDM support'. Other decices will work if they are either WMDM compatible or can be accessed as a Removable or Fixed drive.

Thanks!! I checked WMDM, and it works like a charm. I was able to read the Chiba and transfer files flawlessly.

One other question about using MC with portable players. Is there a way to see how much storage there is on the portable players and how much is still available?

I just noticed that the total space and free space do display at the bottom of Media Center. However, it does not display the extra memory on the SD card that I have inserted into the Chiba. Is there a way to get that extra memory to display?

We don't have a Chiba here, but when you expand the CD, DVD section, does the SD card show as a separate item? IF not,we are reporting all that Chiba is reporting to us.

Steve,
     I took out the MMC card and put it back in again, and Media Center recognized the music that I had already transferred to the card, so everything appears to be working just fine.

What about support for "removable drive" media in general? Even the "PDA" support looks for a PDA. I have SD and CF slots natively and would love to see them supported if I insert an SD that is all music or such.

All removable drives should be recognized under the CD, DVD and Handhelds section currently.

Thanks for the feedback.

Huh... 9.1.319... four "removable drives" in the system plus two DVD drives. Only the DVD drives show up.

Any suggestions?
