i've been using media jukebox 8 for some time now, but i've never really explored all of its functions.  tell me, what is "media server"?  also, i am thinking about investing in a portable device, such as an ipod.  it would be cool to transfer my entire collection of 10,000+ songs to something portable; can you do this with media jukebox 8?

Media Server will serve audio/video to a MJ client (versions must match...and for best results...build too). Media Center handles transfer to external devices much better...not sure what state of affairs is regarding MJ8/Ipod.
