Does Media center support the new IPOD mini?  I have a 40 GB IPOD, and my friend just got his mini pod.. He is dying to use media center, but says it doesn't see his mini?

Thanks

We don't have one here, but people have reported that this works. Ask your friend to use 10.0.99.

Did they install the iPod software first? I was under the assumption that MC would just see my new iPod 20GB (which I got last week, lucky me), but I had to install the iPod software from the CD before MC would start working with it.

MC recognizes iPod by checking for a folder on the iPod called 'iPod Control'. This file is created by the firmware on iPod when the iPod is connected to the PC.

Yes, it works great with the mini. Currently using ver 10.090. No problems so far.
