I am new to MJ, but have a simple question:

I keep a directory:  E:\CD Audio\Artist\Album
with .WAV files

and a:   E:\MP3 Audio\Artist\Album
with, you guessed it, the same stuff in MP3.

Can I fill both directories with a one-step Rip using MJ (where the .WAVS go into the right Artist/Album directory, are not deleted, and the encoded versions go into the proper Artist/Album directory under the MP3 Audio directory ?)

Currently I rip to .WAV and then use the "Convert" function to create/fill the MP3 directories.

Yes you can do it !

• Insert your CD and select RIP CD
• In the CD Copy dialog box > Options
  • Encoding tab : Select your encoder settings and uncheck "Delete temporary wave files when..."
  • File Naming & Locations Tab : Set your Temporary location file to "E:\CD Audio\Artist\Album" and your Output file location to "E:\MP3 Audio\Artist\Album"
• Start Copy

and you should have what you want to.

Thanks, Yves, for that quick answer.  I just kind of assumed that the "temp" directory could not be variable (Album/artist) per each CD .

Ooops...

Best I can tell, the Temp directory is NOT variable; i.e. you can't have the directory structure / names be based on the CDDB Artist/Album/Track Name.

If you put in that you want your .WAVs not to be deleted after conversion, and that the Temp directory is "E:\CD Audio\Artist\Album\Track # - Title" then you get exactly that.  

You DON'T get "E:\CD Audio\Eric Clapton\Slowhand\03 - Cocaine", for example.

Of course the output file always ends up where and how you want it; I just want 2 output files saved with the proper naming conventions, and in the right places (The .WAV and the Compressed copy).
