Here's my complete Shakedown skin/viz/track info for Media Center 9.1 & 10.

To get the track info to look right, you must first select the vizualisation called "shakedown 4 track info", then switch to track info mode and select "shakedown.

This skin is inspired by a winamp skin i saw and liked.

Skin looks sweet! I'll download it as soon as it's available.
Player buttons look cool, but maybe a bit more contrast is needed between the background of the playing now info area and the text - colour-blind people like me are hard to please

Also, thats a cool vis - mind posting the preset?

I'm glad to get those replies. I have only done the graphics ofr the main interface so far. The rest (i.e. windows etc...) are still from the MediaOne skin

Yeah, I'm not that excited about the navigation buttons either... I'm going to have to figure something to do with those.

Once i get a little closer to a first beta, I'll post it here along with the visualization and the icons i made.

feel free to post some ideas here.

PS: I haven't tried it with version 10, is there a way to have both 9.XX and 10.XX installed at once?

No, But you can install 10 and then reinstall 9.1...

Well I need to work on something else, so I won't be able to make the modifs i wanted to.

Therefore, here we go:

Shakedown Mega-Me Skin Beta 1:
Only the main Window is 95% finished. The rest is borrowed from another skin and will be changed very, very soon. (I will remove this link if it bothers anyone.)
Shakedown Beta 1

Shakedown Viz:
This works best as a rectangular vizualisation while being in playing now mode.
Extract the files under: C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center\Visualizations\Vis Studio

Coming along niceley!

Only problem is I can't download the vis! I just end up with a 0byte zip file.
Tried downloading with FireFox and GetRight with the same result.

Hi, I loaded it and it is a very clean looking skin.

I am not really keen on the Trackinfo, I like the ones were you can see the bios, lyrics, comments and all. but then I realize doing that would go against the clean look.

I REALY love the vis, I think that is very unique.

Ok. I've played around with it some time.

The colour-combinations are very comfortable.

The only thing i'm missing is a difference between the lines in the list-area and the background of the scroll-bar. Buy maybe that's by design.

And some elements (player-buttons, horizontal slider and some frames) have different background-colors (e.g. in options --> playback).

All other things are really cool.

I'll fix those little problems in the coming up week. I'm currently installing a Media Center PC on my parents' kick ass home theatre. Man it's gona rock! Huge sony projector, 100inch wide screen... Can't wait for the night to come down to see how tight it looks.

Sorry about this Sauzee, but I've been working on a new skin and updating the previous ones to work better with v10.0. I will start a new thread with all 3 of them and some vizualisations & matching track info very soon.

a few more comments about what has become my default skin:

1) when the music is stopped the main stop button looks greyed out

2) id really love it if the action window boxes had the minimise bar that the original MC skins have

3) i have toolbar buttons along the base of the screen, as the colour is slightly different at the bottom than the top its impossible to read the writing on these buttons

The grey out stopped button is actually a new feature of MC. It does it to all skins... I'm not sure I like it but oh well...

I'll fix the rest and make a few modifications while I'm there.
