CAN NORMALIZE BE APPLIED TO EXISTING MP3
« on: April 03, 2004, 10:01:37 pm »

I have thousands of exsisting Old Time Radio shows in MP3 format.  Is there a way the MJ can take them and normalize them to help with the poor qualit of the really old ones?

Thank you

Not with MJ (unless you did mp3>wav (normalize)>mp3). Do a google on WavGain. It can actually alter the data or place Replay Gain tags in the file (but MJ won't read those tags). MJ can also do tag based RG. Media Editor (part of the MJ package) can also normalize wav's (mp3's too...via the path in the first sentence).
