I just went to a seminar given by Martin Yudkovitz, President of Tivo. He had some very interesting things to say about the company's long term position. Moving to a software model rather than simply hardware etc. The guy has a very interesting perspective having worked at NBC for 20 years.

I pressed him on a couple of questions about forging stronger relationships with software companies such as J River (and the jpeg streaming option) and he said that was something they were definately pursuing. He mentioned things like Tivo 2 Go  being the start of new features to come...

i cant wait.
