Converting wav to mp3 makes fast playback
« on: November 20, 2002, 07:07:54 am »

When I convert Wav files to mp3s then play it back, it has created double speed playbacks.  Sounds like chip munks.    This also happens when I use the media editor and then save after I have modified the file(an mp3 at that).  I have two different computers and it does the same on both.  They are both xp pro machines.

Thanks in advance

Doc4u: this has been reported occasionally before, most recently here. It appears to be somethig to do with file conversions or drivers. I think a search of the board for 'chipmunks' might help, seriously, as that seems to be the most common description used.
