I just installed Media Center yesterday and found I can't import RM files.

Media Center will make itself the default plaer for these files but won't import or play them as the JukeBox did.

Is there a problem  ?

I think that a separate RealPlayer must still be installed. Media Center uses the codec. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Old RealPlayer 8 should do the job without annoyances:

I have real Player installed and it's up to date, as I said I was able to view the format with MJ ver 8.

Do you have RealMedia file types checked in File>Library>Import Media ?

In my case there seems to be a playback problem with my old and small .rm video files. MC can play them, but playback is jerky and occasionally stops for couple of seconds.

Just before the start of the file playback I can see a text on Playing Now window: "Media Center can not display visualizations for this file type..."

I have the old RealPlayer 8 installed and it can play those files normally.

I upgraded to 10.0.116 and rebooted. For some reason MC plays .rm videos better now. Maybe my PC was just tired after hard work.

I think that you need specifically RP8 or [RealAlternative+MediaPlayer Classic] for MC to recognise it
