I use Nero to make a backup of some DVD's because our kids "borrow" them to watch at their places and sometimes they are never seen again!!  they vanish into that great abyss  where missing socks, and lost glasses and retainers seem to go....However, I use Power Producer by Cyberlink to copy DVD's that I have made myself (of family video's, screen savers, etc.) because it's easy, and although technically illegal -  when i put music with the slides for slide shows or screensavers and then give a copy to family or friends. it's so much easier than e-mailling and mose cost effective then snail - mailing a stack of pics or a home video.  This too, might cease as I have made a web site for family and just put the stuff up there.

dvdShrink to rip and, if necessary, re-author and re-encode. Nero to burn the resulting files. Unfortunately, I didn't see dvdShrink on the list. It's great, and it's free.

My choice isn't there, but I use Pinnacle Instant Copy.
