Locate other tracks?
« on: May 07, 2004, 08:38:57 pm »

Before I request a "feature" I figure I'd ask around to see if it's already done....

It would be great if I could right click on a track and get a choice to "find similar tracks".  For example, I'm listening to "Help Me" by Sonny Boy Williamson, I know I have lots of other versions of Help Me by other artists, I could simply search for them, but doing it in a few clicks would be GREAT.

Can this be done now?  (otherwise please consider it a feature request)

Right click the track,
Locate
advanced,
And in this case select name,

It will bring back all the "Help Me" tracks

it will find only the tracks whose name matches exactly with the one in Playing Now.

Other versions would be

Help Me (Version 1)
Help Me (Version 2)
.....etc

it would be the equivalent of doing a search with [Name]=Help Me*

dont think wildcards are supported in MC

Would be a cool feature to have

I never knew about the "Advanced", but it was there all along.

It would be better if it worked just like the Search dialog though, finding all tracks like "*HELP ME*" instead of exact matches.

Thanks for the help!
